Twelve Fatality Hotel Arson Fire Report Released
This report on the 2006 Mizpah Hotel arson fire in Reno, NV that killed 12 residents and required the fire department to rescue 70 people, provides numerous lessons learned for firefighters.

USFA Releases Annual Firefighter Fatality Report
Firefighter Fatalities in the United States in 2007 identifies all 118 on-duty firefighter fatalities that occurred in the United States and includes a special topic on the hazards to firefighters presented by the lack of seatbelt use.


New Report: The After Action Critique - Training Through Lessons Learned
This report is designed to assist fire service members in gathering critical preparedness, response, and recovery information from all emergencies; documenting the lessons learned; and assisting with the continuous evolution of firefighter training.


Residential Sprinkler Impact Study: Christmas Tree Fires
USFA and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have completed a project demonstrating the value of residential sprinklers on the heat release rate of a dry Christmas tree fire. A report and videos of the project's experiments are now available.
